RED DRAGON ATHLETICS
Participation in interscholastic sports is a privilege, not a right; therefore, certain responsibilities are required. Students shall be considered a member of any athletic squad so long as they are able to justify that membership by ability and willingness to keep training rules, to attend practices, and to conform in general to other regulations.
To participate, you must be a student of Maple Grove Jr.-Sr. High School and must be enrolled in a least five subjects, plus physical education. (Seniors with special schedules should see their counselor for exceptions.) Students must receive an adequate health examination and the approval of the school physician.
Students may be able to participate at a younger age, provided that they passed the physical examination. (See coach or Athletic Director for more information.) Participation is governed by the Athletic Code of Conduct (Board of Education Policy IGDJ).

A Boosters and/or community group that wishes to provide funds for alternative student transportation to and from a desired location must adhere to the following procedures: request approval through an Extended Overnight Study Trip Form; all means of outside transportation must meet state and local regulations; all coaches must coordinate these efforts through the Athletic Director; and all funds must be available before the date of the trip.
