Cafeteria Information for the 2024-2025 School Year
We are pleased to announce we will continue to operate the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2024-25 school year. Schools that participate in the CEP are able to provide a healthy breakfast and lunch each day at no charge for all students enrolled in a CEP school. What does this mean? Each student will be provided with a standard meal – breakfast and lunch - either the daily menu offering or the alternate meal. Additional meals or “a la carte” items such as additional milk, bottled water, chips, etc., will still be available for purchase.
A daily lunch meal offered is a fruit, and vegetable, entree which includes a meat/meat alternative, grain, and milk. A student must take at least three of these items, one of which must be a fruit or vegetable to be considered a meal. Any one item (such as milk) does not qualify as a meal. Additionally, a second meal for a student will not receive funding from the district and is, therefore, charged as each individual item a la carte.
As a result of participating in the Community Eligibility Provision, we are eliminating the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. We are requesting that you complete the attached Household Income Eligibility Form to determine eligibility for additional State and Federal program benefits that your child(ren) may qualify for. Most importantly, such data is used for additional state and federal funding for our district. Please complete the form and return it to the main office of the school your child attends.
The MySchoolBucks program will still be available for students to utilize to pay for additional meal choices.
